What happened?
I'd like to say things started out great, but they didn't. At an early point I figured it was a scam, but I wanted to know for sure. So I risked $100 and lost it. In a nutshell, I ordered four 3.5" White Butterfly Discus for 23$ each including delivery with a minimum order of four. Things got very suspicious with the mode of payment, as it was a company I had never heard of before, and when they refused to complete the transfer of monies, I should have taken it as a sign. But, I played through and went with plan B which was Western Union, and for my troubles, Lucian offered a 5th Discus at no charge..
The fish were scheduled to arrive that same night (which was also suspect, but again - playing it through) except when they "arrived" in Phoenix, there were now twelve instead of the five I was promised. Now the Nguyen Kio Fish Farm stepped in. They insisted I pay for all of them before delivery and that - if I agreed to that - the delivery guy (transhipper) would pay me the difference ($160) in cash and I could select the individual fish I wanted from the twelve. When I told them I wanted to see the fish before I paid any more money, they said "no deal" and refused me my original fish.
The entire transcripts between both parties are copied at the links below if you're interested. I just don't want this happening to anyone else, so I'm sharing it with you. These guys are crooks and you won't get your fish.
